Event report: THA Community STEM Festival Was Fantastic

The weather was splendid and the turnout was terrific for Sunday’s Tucson Hebrew Academy Community STEM Festival. There was just the right mix of exhibits to vigorously interact with alongside others that allowed for quieter inspection.

More than twenty exhibitors participated in THA’s first foray into bringing STEM to a wider audience. I enjoyed the hands-on presentations, and I noticed that other adults were joining in the exploration. It was wonderful to see parents and grandparents trying activities alongside the children they were accompanying. Often, adults hang back a bit, but not on Sunday. I was not the only adult who donned an examination glove to handle the inner workings of lambs and cows.
